David Sedaris’ ever-irreverent and cynical Crumpet is baaaack! The outlandish tale of a Macy’s elf merrily jingles to life in the intimate Whisenhunt at ZACH Theatre. In this holiday cult-classic, Crumpet sarcastically expounds on the talent it takes to juggle tinsel, tearful tots, and not-so-sober Santas during what is hailed as the most wonderful time of the year. 75 minutes of rollicking (and not so politically-correct) fun, this laugh-‘til-you-spill-your-cocktail evening will delight adult elves who like it more naughty than nice!
AUDITION NOTICE
ZACH Theatre announces local auditions by appointment for THE SANTALAND DIARIES on Tuesday, September 4th from 4:00 pm – 11:00 pm, in ZACH’s Whisenhunt building at 1510 Toomey Road. Callbacks will be scheduled for Thursday, September 6th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the same location.

REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:
Rehearsals begin November 20, 2018. Performances begin December 5, 2018, and closes on December 30, 2018, with six shows per week: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30pm & 9:30pm.

Please include in the email a resume and headshot attached in PDF or Word Document format, and please indicate your preferred audition time. All actors should bring a hard copy headshot and resume to the audition.
We are seeking versatile actors of all ethnicities, who are comfortable with a one-person show format playing multiple characters.
Please prepare a two contrasting comedic monologues that show off your versatile storytelling. Callbacks will consist of reading from the show – script pages will be sent separately to those asked to attend.
Note: This is a one-person show: Crumpet the Elf is an out of work writer in need of holiday cash, who takes a job as an elf at Macy’s Department store; equal parts jaded, charming, bitter, and hilarious.
