THE ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

Audition Dates/Times
Auditions will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018, from 2-5:30 pm and Sunday, July 29, 2018, 6:30-10 pm. Auditions will consist of singing one of the selected sides from the show.
Auditions will be held in the Palace Education and Performance Center 216 W 8th St. Georgetown TX 78626
Dance Auditions
You must attend the dance audition to be considered for a role!
Dance auditions will be held on Monday, July 30th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. If you attend auditions on Saturday your time is 7:00 pm if you attend Sunday, your time is 8:30. Please wear clothes you can move in, and bring appropriate shoes.

Auditions are scheduled online via the Palace website. You will fill out the audition form, sign up for a time, and fill out the conflict calendar as well as have the ability to upload your resume and a headshot.
You will receive an email confirming your appointment. If you are unable to attend any of the audition times please send us an email and we will try to work with you to schedule an alternative time.

We will be distributing the scripts as soon casting is done, and ask everyone to be familiar with at least the lyrics by the first rehearsal.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals should begin Monday, August 20th. Rehearsals will typically be held Monday through Thursday 7:00-10:00 and Saturday 1:00-5:00.
The production will open Friday, October 12th, and closes on Sunday, November 4th. Performances are Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. Sometimes ticket demand causes us to add Saturday Matinee performances at 2 pm.

General Info.
Everyone involved with the production must submit to a background check at the Palace’s expense. If you are cast, you’ll receive a secure link where you can fill it out. There is no cost to you.
The Georgetown Palace Theatre is 501c3 Non-profit organization. There is no compensation for any of the actors.
We practice color-blind casting, so all abilities, gender, and Ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to participate.
