The Georgetown Palace announces auditions for our production of Million Dollar Quartet..

Headshots and resumes are due to productions@georgetownpalace.com no later than Friday, June 15th, at 6:00 pm. Late and they will not be included in audition packets.

Casting calls for six featured characters; Sam Phillips, owner of SUN RECORDS (playing an instrument, harmonica, guitar etc a plus), Elvis Presley (vocals and guitar), Jerry Lee Lewis (Mad piano skills and vocals), Johnny Cash (vocals and guitar), Carl Perkins (Lead guitar and vocals), and Dyanna (Elvis’s girlfriend and singer), to bring to life the recording session that is MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET on the Springer Stage. This is a high energy production with a concert feel.  

 

Auditions will be held Saturday, June 16, 2-5:30 pm and Sunday, June 17 6:30 -10 pm.  

Auditions will be on the Springer Mainstage 810 S Austin Ave Georgetown TX 78626.

 Auditions will consist of singing one of the selected sides from the show. Character Breakdown/Sides 

 

Callbacks will be by invitation only and held Monday, June 18th 6:30-10pm.

Callbacks are posted online on the Palace website.  

 

Auditions are scheduled online via the Palace website. You will fill out the audition form, sign up for a time, and fill out the conflict calendar.

Please submit these items by Friday, June 15th.  If you do not, they won't be included in the production team's packet.

You will receive an email confirming your appointment. If you are unable to attend any of the audition times please send us an email and we will try to work with you to schedule an alternative time.

We will be distributing the scripts as soon casting is done, and ask everyone to be familiar with at least the lyrics by the first rehearsal.

 

Rehearsals should begin around Tuesday, June 26th.  Rehearsals will typically be held Tuesday through Thursday 7:00-10:00 and Saturday 1:00-5:00. 

   The production will open Friday, August 31st and close Sept 30th. Performances are Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. Sometimes ticket demand causes us to add Saturday Matinee performances at 2 pm.

 

There will be a stipend for all performers in this show.  

 

Background checks: Everyone involved with the production must submit to a background check at the Palace's expense. If you are cast, you will receive a secure link where you can fill it out. There is no cost to you.

 

The Georgetown Palace Theatre is 501c3 Non-profit organization. We practice non-traditional casting, and all roles are open. All ages, abilities, gender, and ethnicities are encouraged to participate.
