A Real Boy

This satiric play tells the story of two marionette puppets with a human child who starts growing strings of his own - and the kindergarten teacher who takes it upon herself to save him.

Last Act Theatre Company proudly announces auditions for A Real Boy by Stephen Kaplan, directed by Chelsea Beth. 

 

Cast: 

Max Myers; Puppeteer. – the character of Max is 5 years old, and the actor cast in this role will need to be able to portray a young character. 

Peter Myers; Puppeteer – Max’s father. He is a puppet.

Mary Ann Myers; Puppeteer – Max’s mother. She is a puppet. 

Miss Terry – Max’s kindergarten teacher 

Principal Klaus – the principal of the school

Jilly Lambert – The Myers’ family friend. She is a lawyer and takes care of her baby

Rebecca Landel – United States Congresswoman, District 7.

 

We encourage actors of all races and genders to audition. All roles are paid. Puppeteer experience is a plus but not required.
