Amidst the crowds of a London train station, Georgie, a delightfully quirky woman, spots Alex, a much older man, and impulsively plants a kiss on his neck. This electric encounter thrusts these two strangers into a fascinating game of love that is never what it seems. In the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, the closer you get to something the less you know about it, and such is the case for the uncertain and often-comical sparring match that is Georgie and Alex’s need to truly connect with each other.

AUDITION NOTICE
ZACH Theatre announces local auditions by appointment for HEISENBERG on Tuesday, January 30th, and Wednesday, January 31st from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at ZACH’s Whisenhunt Theatre, 1510 Toomey Road. Callbacks will be scheduled on Friday, February 2nd from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the same location.
REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
Rehearsals begin May 22, 2018, and will require some daytime availability. Performances begin June 20, 2018, and closes on July 22, 2018, with shows Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Saturday and Sundays at 2:30pm, and possible added Tuesdays and Sundays at 7:30 pm.

Actors will be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Please include in the email a resume and headshot attached in PDF or Word Document format, and please indicate your preferred audition time. All actors should bring a hard copy headshot and resume to the audition.
All AEA members will be seen, and all non-union members will be seen while appointments slots are available. If you are not able to be seen at this audition, ZACH will make all best efforts to schedule you for a later audition date.
AUDITION INSTRUCTION
Actors should prepare a monologue not to exceed 2 minutes, that reflect the personality of the character description of "Georgie". Callbacks will consist of reading sides from the play with the actor playing "Alex".

Georgie Burns: (Female, 35-49, any ethnicity): a loud eccentric American in her 40s; equal parts flirtatious, combative, and whimsical; endlessly mysterious and unafraid to speak her mind; impulsive; charming; loves life; she is quirky and ultimately moving.
