Magnificent Bastard Productions is currently casting for the AUSTIN production of their hit show, Shit-faced Shakespeare® — one of the UK’s most successful shows, playing to sell-out crowds there since 2010. In direct collaboration with the original UK team, the Austin branch of the company has played to sold-out houses in town for nearly two years, and is now looking to add to our merry band.

Seeking Non-Equity actors / comics / improvisers, any body type, who are high-energy performers, comfortable with Shakespeare’s text, audience interaction, and improvisation, to play multiple roles in an abridged Shakespearean comedy. Said individuals must have great personalities, be adept at handling classical text, skilled and funny improvisers, tremendously pleasant drunks, and work excellently as part of a professional ensemble.

Run: Friday and Saturday nights at varying times

Please apply only if you have flexibility and availability to work most Friday and Saturday nights. We are only interested in seeing people who are able to fully commit to our very unique show and who respect the care we take to ensure the safety and health of our cast, crew and audience. We are seeking performers of diverse ethnicities who are over the age of 21, with valid ID. Rehearsals will begin immediately (January 13th - 20th). Please only apply if you are vailable that week. We will be hosting an orientation on Friday, January 12th and it is essential you are available that date if cast.
