Jack, a shy 27 year old, begins a job in a retirement home helping seniors with their needs. But it’s the “Geezers” who wind up helping Jack with his needs. This is a funny, heartwarming drama about growth and wisdom, learning and loving, life and death.

Director Lou Garza will hold open auditions for the S.T.A.G.E., Inc. 2017-2018 season production of GEEZERS a drama/comedy by Tommy Lee Johnston. Auditions will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Krause House Theatre, 1300 Bulverde Road in Bulverde.

Characters Needed:
JACK: Introverted 27-year-old has never held a formal job in his life.
GINA: Mid- to late 40s, a nurse practitioner. She takes her job of caring for the residents very seriously.
RAY: In his 70s, he loves to sleep in the recliner of the community room at Maple Leaf.
YOUNG RAY: Ray in his early 30s.
KATE: Former actress now in her mid -70s, she is always onstage. Still vibrant, she is constantly looking to catch
the eye of any breathing man who may be in the room.
YOUNG KATE: Kate in her early 20s.
NEIL: In his 70s, walks with a cane. A bit of a curmudgeon, he holds his past military service with pride.
YOUNG NEIL: Neil in his mid-30s.
EMILY: In her 90s, suffers from dementia but has moments of lucidity and moves well with the aid of a walker.
JENNY: Mid- to late 60s, resides very near Maple Leaf. She is a regular visitor of Miss Emily.
