The Generic Ensemble Company seeks to cast an Asian/Asian American actor for its upcoming new play 893|Ya-ku-za written by Daria Miyeko Marinelli and directed by kt shorb and Jesus I. Valles that will run at The VORTEX January 26-February 10, 2017.
The role is for Aya, a Japanese American woman in her early 20s. All Asian/Asian American women interested in acting are invited to audition. The role will require learning fight choreography; while no prior training is necessary, a willingness engage in rigorous physicality is a plus. Please be prepared to do sides and movement exercises. One-minute contemporary monologues will be viewed, if prepared, but not required.
