I am currently casting for a short film that I am writing/directing/producing in Austin and wanted to reach out to any stage actors that might be interested in doing a film project. I wanted to ask if we could solicit for auditions for this project on this site?

 

 

Characters are all male but seeking ACTRESSES ONLY to play the roles in drag.

 

Characters:

 

STARCHY: (20s-40s) a hulking, raging Neo-Nazi

 

ALABASTER: (40s-60s) an Antebellum-style politician

 

Auditions will be invite only and held on Saturday July 8th. Headshots and resumes are a must. Austin locals only please. Audition information and character sides will be given to actors sought for auditions.

 

Additional Information:

 

These are paid roles (SAG base rate). 3 day shooting commitment with a week rehearsal before shooting. Salary is for days on set only. Production will be in August, TBA.

 

Improvisational skills are a must! This project requires a lot of physical comedy, stunt falls, and choreography. Stage combat training is a plus.

 

Meals will provided for cast and crew on set. A DVD copy of the finished picture will be also be given to actors.
