Jarrott Productions will hold auditions on Monday, June 12th, for the role of Louise in the upcoming production of Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright John Patrick Shanley's latest play, PRODIGAL SON. Auditions will be by appointment only from 6:30-8:30pm at Zach Theatre's Whisenhunt Stage, 1510 Toomey Road. All other roles in this play have been cast.
Character Breakdown: Louise Schmitt; late 40s-50s. English teacher and wife of the headmaster at Thomas More boarding school. Kind. Sees the potential and goodness in the otherwise troubled young man at the center of the play.
Rehearsals will begin Monday, August 21st. The play will run September 21-October 15 at the Trinity Street Theatre in downtown Austin. Actors will be compensated. Sorry no Equity contracts are available for this production.
