Peter and the Starcatcher
by Vexler Theatre

Feb. 12 (2017)

"A larky sance with Barrie's mythic characters: part pantomime, part story theatre, and all delight."  – The New Yorker

“Miraculous. Spectacle, wit, and joy spill out of this production like treasure from a magic pocket.”
– New York Magazine

First and foremost, it should be understood that Peter and the Starcatcher is NOT a children’s show - it is designed for imaginative adult audiences! It is a swashbuckling grownup’s prequel to Peter Pan. This Tony Award-winning show upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up.

From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants, to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair, and the bonds of friendship, duty, and love. Featuring a dozen actors portraying more than 100 unforgettable characters, Peter and the Starcatcher uses stagecraft and the limitless possibilities of imagination to bring the story to life.

  • Directed by Ken Frazier and Tami Kai
  • All roles are open and the show will be cast with actors on a volunteer basis.
